Dear Younger Helen, I see that you are doing a considerable amount of work trying to get experience and make a name for yourself in Dispute Resolution.  Here’s what I can say to you years later; keep volunteering, keep networking, when someone suggests something, explore it and take action, work outside of your comfort zone, send thank-you cards and not emails, go the extra mile, it’s ok if you don’t know something, just ask.  People love talking about themselves, listen to how they got where they are, and see if you can follow their lead.  Continue educating yourself, there is always more to learn.  Stay humble, there is no peak!  Never forget to say ‘thank-you’ to those who supported you, you would not be any where without them.  In the future, be generous.  – Older Helen
